Before & After: The Bedroom

I’m tired of updating about the dining room so I thought I would take a look at the bedroom. This was the first room I tackled, infact I started painting this room the day of settlement and before we even moved in… If you haven’t noticed, I have a thing for grey!

This is the bedroom before we moved in. I didn’t take the best ‘before’ pictures, which always seems to be the way, but nevermind!

And after… The paint is Taubmans ‘Iron Age’. I now have four different shades of grey in my house. Might be time for a little colour?

My beautiful lamps that only cost $30 each. A $2 glass bottle I spray painted white and some faux floral. Bargain!

Walnut and ivory…

Square frames, bedside tables and bed all from Ikea (that place knows how to do white and do it well!). I found some nice scrapbooking paper and framed it for a bit of interest… and there you have it!

   Thankyou! As long as the glass isn’t going to actually be used for drinking and just more of a ’sit and look pretty’, it should be fine!

   I picked up your link from abeachcottage.com. I love what you did with the curtains in the room. Nice! Also, that’s just the kind of headboard that I’ve been looking for! Congrats on a beautiful makeover.

   My room is grey also, and I am waiting until my birthday to get some white bedding. Your room makes me super excited to change mine up.Only about a month til my birthday.We’ll see if I can wait.
